Vattenfall, the Swedish energy group, and Peel Ports, the infrastructure specialists, have agreed to reserve space at Great Yarmouth harbour to site an operations base for two major offshore wind farms.

According to Proserv, the expansion from nearby Great Yarmouth is a result of the growing operation of the company’s renewables unit in the offshore wind industry.

ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) is to add an additional phase of consultation for their East Anglia TWO and East Anglia ONE North offshore wind farm projects.

The offshore substation for ScottishPower Renewables’ East Anglia ONE windfarm has successfully been installed in the southern North Sea, some 59 km from the coast of Lowestoft.
