GENERATE is the pioneering partnership of regional business and political leaders leading the way for future investment and development of the energy sector in Norfolk and Suffolk.  We bring together political and business support and all of the main agencies in the region along with access to the experienced supply chain through the regional industry body, the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), and the Norfolk & Suffolk All Energy Industry Council.

The East of England’s position provides unique access to the Southern North Sea (SNS) and is home to the infrastructure and facilities for a vast range of energy including gas, nuclear and offshore wind. We are driving the transition to Net Zero and are pushing to confirm the area as the UK’s energy capital by proactively identifying and connecting people and businesses with opportunities, while also providing a gateway to Europe.

GENERATE aims to provide unified business and political approach to smooth the way for inward investment into the area and incorporates Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, East Suffolk Council and North Norfolk District Council. The New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) also plays an important role by securing funds from Government to help businesses grow and delivers ambitious programmes to ensure that businesses have the funding, support, skills, and infrastructure needed to flourish.
