GENERATE Supply Chain goes LIVE
Does your business work in the energy sector? If so, now’s the time to register with GENERATE Supply Chain – bringing enhanced visibility to the region’s energy landscape
GENERATE Energy Supply Chain is a new platform built to showcase Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex’s energy supply chain capabilities, providing a useful tool to demonstrate the strength and depth of the east of England’s energy sector to potential investors, energy developers, national contractors and government agencies.

Developed by the region’s energy focussed inward investment partnership, GENERATE, in partnership with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the new platform is designed to allow businesses from across the East to register their products, services and sector related accreditations using detailed classifications spanning from oil & gas, nuclear to wind energy, grid infrastructure and decommissioning.
The new platform will help to improve supply chain visibility by forming a detailed picture of the east of England energy sector capabilities whilst identifying gaps in provision to enable targeted inward investment campaigns and activities.
GENERATE business development manager, Ian Pease said, “We spend time and effort promoting the region’s energy sector nationally and internationally. When we talk to potential investors we’re typically asked; what does your supply chain look like? Will it be able to support my business if we locate here? With GENERATE Supply Chain, we can demonstrate the strength and capability with the press of a button.”
To help evidence the East’s collaborative approach, if your business is already registered on the Suffolk Supply Chain or Sizewell C Supply Chain Portals (both run by the Suffolk Chamber supply chain engagement team), your information will be automatically ported across to GENERATE Supply Chain, all you’ll need to do is login and review your entry to make sure its up to date.
Additional features will include an embedded energy and infrastructure project tracker which offers the functionality to list and search the numerous major energy and infrastructure projects taking place in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, including project timelines, status updates, and links to relevant tender portals.
Ian added, “Industry groups like East Wind and EEEGR have told us that their members sometimes struggle to find project information in one place. GENERATE Energy Supply Chain will start to address this, helping to build a businesses’ confidence to invest in the area because they can see a strong pipeline of work for many years to come.”
Whether you’re an established energy business or a small company with products and services relevant to the energy sector, GENERATE Supply Chain makes it easier to get involved, contribute, and grow.
